was started because there seemed to be a need for a clearing house for creative individuals to share their artwork. Also as a reaction to the increasingly hectic world we find ourselves living in.
More often than not, people these days want things ASAP. Much like the Slow Food movement, a group of artists have collectively come to the conclusion that art is not a commodity of instant gratification. The creative process is sometimes one of patient and deliberate gestation.
How, then is art created? The seed of an idea is planted. The conditions are right for it to receive sunlight, water, air. It begins to sprout. Eventually, that concept takes concrete form.
These are the artists that are making a difference. This is the way they work in their studios.
This is a place to discuss what they are doing, to find out about others doing similar things. Finally, this is a forum to show the artwork that they create, for themselves and for all of us.
