"Leaving Kansas: The Art of Loel Barr"Loel is a Kansas native who relocated to the beautiful Hudson Valley a few years ago. She lives and maintains a studio in Saugerties, where she creates her unique and exceptional art. Her explorations in paint, collage, and sculpture have been shown throughout the region as well as in New York City and across the country, winning numerous prizes and awards and garnering rave reviews wherever she goes.
This film explores her creative process as she conceptualizes, composes, assembles and completes a final work of art based on her own childhood in the Midwest.
